Flights from Europe to Bali are usually going via:
Bangkok (Thailand)
Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia)
Singapore
Hongkong
Taipeh (Taiwan)
We recommend to fly into Denpassar (Bali) because all the domestic connecting flights are starting from here.
Time difference is +7 hours (from Europe, MET) and +6 (during the months of daylight saving)
To enter Indonesia you need a passport with an expiry date not less than 6 month up on entry. There are no official vaccination requirements for Indonesia.
Since 01.02.2004 most foreigners do need a Visa up on entry for Indonesia*. It will be given upon entry (Visa on Arrival) at the airport. Visa fee is 25.00USD. Euros can be exchanged. Your Change will be given back in Indonesian Rupiah. It is possible to pay with VISA or Master Card. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends to have the exact amount in USD on hand for practical reasons. It is not possible to extend the VISA on Arrival for more than 30 days in Indonesia.
If you plan to stay longer, you need to apply for a different VISA before traveling to Indonesia.
